Your Affordable Luxury Wedding Photographer from Plymouth
Hi, I'm Louise, a Plymouth based wedding photographer working mainly within Devon and Cornwall but able to travel anywhere you need me.
Photographing a wedding is an honour and privilege and I have been enjoying capturing special days for over 10 years. My belief is that the best shots come from a strong client-photographer relationship and strive to build that with you from your first meeting to ensure you will be happy with your photos on the day. Good planning also ensures success. We will have a meeting prior to booking to discuss your needs and see whether we are a good match and if you decide to book we will fill in a contract so that you know you are getting a professional service under the terms of the contract. You'll also benefit from my wedding day planner. It looks a little daunting at first but naturally fills itself in as your plans progress towards the big day. We get down all the groups etc that matter to you. We don't want to waste time making you stand for 50 groups you don't want - but likewise we want to make sure we get every photo that really matters. It honestly also helps the day to be more relaxed, run smoothly as we all know what will be happening and when and means I can be a bit of a help if I notice things need a gentle push in the right direction.
I work with a second photographer, Steve, who helps to keep to the plan, covers alternate angles and shots and can also cover the prep of the groom. Before your big day myself and Steve will check out your venue(s) in order to get our eye in, check on permissions, foresee any obstacles, and mostly bounce ideas off each other for what we think will look great in your photos.
I know that lots of people don't like being in front of the camera or being made to contort into awkward poses so my ethos is simple: Your images will be beautiful, they will have a classic elegance to them - but we will do it in a relaxed and natural way. Classic doesn't mean boring, heavily posed and old fashioned - it means timeless and classy. We don't use gimmicks and filters we use skill, natural styling and colour rendition and we know how to stand people to look elegant without the awkward positioning. You will be able to look back at your photographs in 5 or 50 years and feel they are as relevant, artistic and classy as they day they were taken. The inclusion of all images in black and white gives you the option to explore how the removal of colour can completely alter the feeling and focus of a photograph and give that truly timeless effect - as well as oozing a whole new level of class.
My process is personal from start to finish - I will meet you so that you get an idea of who I am and if you like me, make your plan together with you, check out your venue, photograph your day, edit every photo and even design your album (if you want one). I will be there for every moment. I will be there lacing your bridesmaids in when we've 10 minutes to get to the ceremony, I will be there when your shoe gets wedged in a drain (and importantly I will get you out) and I will talk to you and your guests because the easiest way to get 100 people to relax in my presence is to fit in with them and gain their trust through being an approachable person.
Our most common comments in our reviews are that we fit into your wedding as if we are old friends - and that is how we get beautiful photos in a relaxed way. With regards to 'posing' we will put you in natural situations where you will create a lovely shape for photos, without needing olympic level gymnastics, just by simply walking or having a cuddle with your partner. We also like to be natural in other ways and just LOVE to make the most of being outdoors - sun, rain, day or night - if you're up for it then so are we!
I don't believe in limiting your memories so there is no limit on the amount of photographs you'll receive regardless of your package choice.
